HI! My name is Carolann and my husband Andy and I are the proud parents of Hailey Eleanor born in 2003.
Well, enough about me! Hailey Eleanor is truly a beautiful miracle. As soon as she was born, we knew she was going to give us a run for our money. My brother and sister-in-law were in from NY that week and when they took Hailey to the nursery she was crying, and my brother said “that has to be my sister’s baby because she is as loud as she is”!
She is already three months old, smiling talking, and rolling over! Her missing limb is not holding her back one bit and she is a happy, thriving little girl! We have been truly blessed with this beautiful angel and I wouldn’t change a thing about her!

Hailey
was born missing her right arm below her elbow. This did not come as a
shock to us since we found out about her missing limb at my 20 week ultrasound.
I will say though, it was a shock when we found out! I still wonder
sometimes if it was better that we knew early on or when she was actually born.
I realized that for the rest of my pregnancy, all I thought about was her
missing limb and not the rest of her. The good thing that came out of it
was that I found this great support group. This group helped me through
the last 20 weeks of my pregnancy and is still helping me emotionally every day.
I will say that once I saw my angel, nothing mattered. I now had a face,
eyes, nose, mouth and little body to put with her little arm and she was/is
beautiful!!!!
