An Internet Mailing ListAn Internet mailing list is made up of a group of subscribers who share a common interest. In this case I-CAN is comprised of parents of child amputees and adult mentors who are congenital or early acquired amputees. When a subscriber post a message to the list, the message goes to a central server. The server redistributes the message to all subscribers including the author. Subscribers reading the message can, if they so choose, respond by posting a reply which also goes to all subscribers. There is no charge for being subscribed.
